Using the Kahle Patented EAMON Modular Cam Driven Station, a cam driven pick and place system that combines horizontally and vertically driven movements on a common shaft, the design permits each pick and place module to operate independently. This allows for speed, reliability and flexibility. Depending on the design of the module, a component can change positions easily and accurately as it moves throughout a system. Additionally, this modular approach to cam driven movement provides for ease of design, maintainability, and troubleshooting in production by utilizing a 1:1 ratio between the movement reflected in the cam and the station tooling movement at the product.
